Cancellation policy: CCancellations may be made within 72 hours of booking for a full refund. After 72 hours, a 60 day cancellation notice is required for a full refund less the reservation fee & travel insurance plus applicable taxes. If you cancel less than 60 days prior to your arrival only your security deposit will be refunded; any advance rents paid will not be refunded.

Travel Insurance: Please review the information regarding Travel Insurance enclosed with your confirmation and our cancellation policy. Travel Insurance can help protect you from certain unexpected risks offering protection for trip cancellation, trip interruption, and travel delay. If you wish to purchase Travel Insurance simply contact our office within 10 days from the date of booking. Travel Insurance cannot be added or removed after 10 days of booking date.

Refunds: There are no expressed or implied guarantees regarding appliances or amenities such as grills, hot tubs, VCR/DVD players or fireplaces. We make every effort to keep appliances and amenities in good working order, however sometimes things do break. We will work as quickly as possible to make all repairs during working hours. There will be no refunds due to appliance, water, power or TV failure etc. There are no refunds for early check-outs. Please notify our office as soon as problems are found.

Forms of payment: At the time of reservation, pre-paid rent will be placed on a Master Card or VISA to confirm the reservation. Final payments are due no later than 21 days prior to the date of arrival. Absolutely no "Personal Checks" accepted less than 21 days prior to arrival. All reservations must be paid in full 21 days prior to arrival. The credit card/debit card on file will be processed for payment 21 days prior to your arrival unless payment by personal check, cash or secured funds are received in our office 21 days prior to your arrival date.

Returned check fee: There is a $25 per check fee for all returned checks. We will either add this to your charges, or charge your security deposit if your check is returned after your departure. See "Security Deposit" for additional information.

Reservation fee: There is a $55 non-refundable fee per reservation. Applicable tax will apply.

Pets: Most units do not allow pets. For the units that do, an extra $100 per pet non-refundable fee is charged. Pet owners and lessees are financially responsible for damages caused by their pet. If a pet is taken into a home advertised as "No Pets" without prior arrangements being made with Carolina Vacations, occupants will be evicted with no refunds. Most properties allow 25 lbs or less - please ask about the property you are inquiring about.

Service animals: Mobility, visually or hearing impaired persons have the right to be accompanied by an assistance animal trained to provide assistance with respect to the person's impairing condition, on any premises that person rents. A person qualifies for this right by showing a tag issued by the North Carolina (or other state) Department of Human Resources, or upon showing documentation that the animal is trained as an assistance animal. If the service animal damages the house, an appropriate amount will be deducted from the security deposit.

Spa fee: For the safety and enjoyment of our guests, your hot tub is drained and cleaned between 6 am and 11 am on the morning of your departure. For guest arriving on the same day, this may mean a delay in using the hot tub on the first evening of your stay. Most tubs will re-heat in 6-8 hours with the cover in place, however some make take longer. We apologize for the inconvenience, but have put your health and safety first. Spa fees are applicable if the home you choose has a spa, whether or not the spa is used. The spa must be drained, sanitized and refilled for each incoming guest regardless of use. We appreciate your understanding for this health precaution as prescribed by law.

Pre-Paid Rent: The Prepaid Rent Deposit will be credited toward your rent total, with the balance due prior to your arrival date (see Forms of Payment). Your pre-paid rent is refundable minus the reservation fee and travel insurance plus applicable taxes if your reservation is cancelled at least 60 days prior to your arrival. This is not to be confused with your security deposit.

Refundable security deposit: All reservations require a Security Deposit, which will be refunded within 7 days of check-out, after the condition of the unit and its contents have been verified. The Security Deposit may be used to repair damages, replace missing items, or to reimburse owner or agent for expenses resulting from agreement violations, such as phone calls, Internet charges, movie charges, check fees, or unacceptable condition of unit on departure. Security Deposits will be payable to the name on the reservation. No exceptions.
